Auction Terms and Conditions
To ensure a transparent and fair auction process, we kindly request that you familiarize yourself with our auction terms of service. These terms outline the rules, guidelines, and responsibilities for both buyers and sellers. For more detailed information, please click here to learn more about our auction terms of service.
Where do I pickup my purchased items?
Every sale if different, in most cases you pickup your items at the specific sale site where our friendly staff is willing to assist you.
Placing a bid
After entering the Timed Auction, the lot listing will display and you can then click on the "Place a Bid" button for the lot that you want to bid on. When selecting the lot you would like to bid on, a window will open with the starting bid for that lot and a box, which will allow the entry of a maximum bid. This procedure can be followed for each lot you are interested in bidding on.
Bid Extension
If bid extension has been implemented, the closing time of a lot will be extended if a bid has been placed within the last few minutes of an auction. The time of the extension is based on the auctioneer's preference.
I’ve Requested To Bid and I Am Not Approved
The Terms & Conditions should contain any information that is necessary for gaining approval for bidding. If you have completed all requirements and still have not been approved, contact John Peck Auctions.
Do you offer shipping?
Yes, we offer exclusive shipping through UPS. We do not offer any other types of shipping. All shipping is handled by our friends at UPS in Midland. For shipping questions you should call Annie at 989-935-6050. Her and her team are the best at what they do. Just let her know you are a John Peck customer and what you have to ship. She'll handle the rest.
I can't make a pickup date but want to bid on an item what do I do?
We make every effort to accommodate our customers within reason and understand some dates don't always work. Please contact us prior to bidding on something and we will make every reasonable effort to work with you.
Do I have to do a background check for guns?
Yes, it's the state and federal law. We perform background checks free of charge.
Can Federal Firearm Licenses move to other places and other auctions?
No, FFL licenses hang at the facility they are licensed to except for authorized events like gun shows.
I've been to some gun auctions on site where they don't do background checks.
The new state law requires background checks be performed prior to the transfer of a firearm. If an auctioneer is selling firearms they should be a Licensed FFL dealer. John Peck Auctions is a FFL dealer.
When do I pay for my items?
You can pay ahead of a pickup day online with a credit card or pay in person with cash, check or credit. We leave that choice up to you.
I'm from out of the area, how do I pay for my items?
There are many payment options available to you. You can pay by card using the paylink provided in your winning invoice email. We can contact you to take payment over the phone. You can mail a check. You can designate someone else to pay and pickup your merchandise on your behalf (This is not an option for firearm sales).
